If the title itself is not enough to grab your attention, then the style of this gorgeous little book will.

Written by Rosie Shilo, owner and founder of the network for virtual assistants, Virtually Yours, VA VA Voom is a book of business tales and a how-to manual all in one.

As a seasoned virtual assistant, I know what’s what and I was really impressed with VA VA Voom. I thought I’d take the time to share my review with you and help spread the word for my colleague.

If you’re considering becoming a virtual assistant (you’ll be called a VA), or even if you have recently launched your VA business, then I highly recommend you read this book.

Not only is it full of terrific business information, but it has loads of motivating ideas to really make your business boom. All you need to bring to the table is your drive for success and loads of passion to be your own boss.

The book will take you through what it is to be a virtual assistant, the qualities you need to possess, the skills you will need and you’ll receive advice from small business owners. You’ll also find little snippets from fellow Virtual Assistants, including a clever little poem by one of my VA colleagues, Jesse Brjozovski.

Separated into sections, including spaces for your notes and exercises, VA VA Voom includes:

  • Planning
  • Your Business Administration
  • The Valued Asset

Without wanting to give too much away, you’ll hear from business owners so you’ll know EXACTLY what they are looking for in an awesome virtual assistant! These well-known business owners include Jamie Thomas, Warwick Merry and Lorna Berry to name just a few.

So if you want to learn how to be an amazing Virtual Assistant and every client’s most valued asset, then grab a copy of VA VA VOOM.

And while you’re at it, I also recommend joining VYVA, a supportive and friendly network where you can learn a great deal from those who have been in business for some time. I’ve been a member of VYVA since September 2009 and not only value what I gain from my VA colleagues but I have also developed a great many friendships along the way.

A final note, is to say ‘well done Rosie’ on compiling a fabulous little resource for the Australian VA industry! You’re a true gem and so generous to share your knowledge with those starting out.
