Below is the script I pulled together in preparation for an interview I did on the 28 January with Business Victoria regarding how I, as a small business owner, have used social media for exposure and consequently business growth. This may answer the questions of some business owners still toying with the idea of social media.

I recently came across this TEDx talk by Brene Brown and found it fascinating especially now I spend many hours connecting and playing in the social media playground. Brene Brown studies human connection and our ability to empathize, belong and love. In a beautifully delivered talk, she shares what she has learnt from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity. I hope you find it as fascinating as I did!

Well, where has 2010 gone? How the year has flown by! I think for many, 2010 was far brighter than what was anticipated towards the end of 2009. It has been a fabulous year for this little virtual business but we’re very ready for our annual digital-detox!
